Target audience : Primary schools (children between 9 and 12 years old)

Interactive visit of the MigratieMuseumMigration and workshop (2h).

The children go on a fascinating journey through the personal stories and the works of art of the museum.
Then you go on a quest in the museum and look for your own story. You will discover how popular your name is in Brussels and what it tells you. The inspiring photos and stories of migrants invite you to tell them your story as well. You will unravel the message hidden in the artworks of great artists. You go on a treasure hunt among the showcases with personal testimonies.
The youngest participants are invited to make their own ’mini-vitrine’ ! At the end, there is something tasty for every detective.

Migrant XYZ

Target audience : secondary schools, higher education.

Interactive visit of the MigratieMuseumMigration and workshop (2h).

Based on the information presented, the participants have to guess who is "Migrant X/Y/Z". In each case, we look for the place of birth, the date of birth and the gender.
Then we are sent on a quest for answers among the objects in the display cases, the works of art, the timeline and the statistics.
During the discussion afterwards, we reflect together on Brussels, migration, our personal experiences and migration stories, and the museum visit.
